This was a unique workshop about new trends in natural resource protection.

The seminar brought together professionals, officials, conservation leaders, the media and public to interact on issues of aquatic degradation, loss of wetland habitat and preservation and restoration solutions.

The Wetland and Watershed Seminar was funded by a grant from the Great Lakes Habitat Network and Fund and coordinated by the Tip of The Mitt Watershed Council located in Petosky, Michigan.

“Each of the many proposed projects presented interesting needs for protection and restoration of local aquatic habitats in the Great Lakes Basin,” said Jill Ryan, director of the Network and Fund, “and Save the Prairie Society's request was one of just 14 to receive funding at this time.”
