The purpose of the Salt Creek Headwater Recovery Project was to remediate the degradation of the Middle Fork, Harrier Marsh and buffer uplands resulting from soil erosion, channelization, sedimentation and other sources of impairments. The project partially resolves these multiple impairments by stabilizing eroding streambanks, restoring native vegetation and filtering and purifying water prior to discharge to Salt Creek.
