Canada goose

Gathering in large noisy flocks after breeding season, Canada geese fly in the familiar V formation or in long undulating lines. The characteristic honking easily identifies this species.

Canada goose is one of the most common and best known of the waterfowl family. With a black and white head and broad white cheeks, the Canada goose is easily recognized in the Chicago region.
