Culver's root (Veronicastrum virginicum)
A member of the snapdragon family, Culver's root, a prairie plant, can adapt to managed
woodlands. Culver's root reaches heights of between two and seven feet. Its irridescent white flowers enrich
the brilliant colors of the summer prairie.
Culver's root produces tube-like white flowers with two projecting stamens. It can
be found in colonies which shimmer in the faint, slanted light of dawn and dusk..
