Willow flycatcher
(Empidonax trailli)

The flycatcher is difficult to identify by sight. Identification by voice is more accurate. The song is sharply accented, but not very loud. Singing is primarly limited to the breeding season with the call "fitz-bew". Bushes and willow thickets provide habitat. Only 5 1/2 inches long, the flycatcher migrates to Mexico and Argentina for the winter.
