Red-tailed hawk
(Buteo jamaicensis)

meadows and prairies. Red-tailed hawks can be seen perching on trees and fence posts and are identified
by the reddish color of their tail feathers.

lives. Buffer lands protect high quality natural areas and extend wildlife habitat for species
