Red fox
(Vulpes fulva)

The range for the red fox covers the north central to north west regions of the United States and extends into Canada and Alaska.

Red fox feed on rodents, other small mammals, carrion, poultry and sometimes fruit and berries. Open forest or brushy landscapes provide cover as their preferred hunting habitat. The red fox is a carnivore and is easily identified by its beautiful red fur and bushy tail.
