At 11 am on Friday, June 29, at the LaGrange Park Library, Stephanie Walquist, who has studied a variety of butterfly species over the years, will be sharing the knowledge and experience she has gained in attracting butterflies, raising their caterpillars, and releasing the butterflies back into the wild. Using a PowerPoint presentation, Stephanie will provide tips on planting gardens that will provide food for the developing caterpillars, as well as nectar for the adult butterflies. Along with Stephanie, others who have successfully raised caterpillars will be on-hand to share their experiences and answer questions. If possible, samples of caterpillars and chrysalises will be available for viewing.
